Dayani, RECE (no picture available)

Hello! I am Dayani.

I joined the CCCCG team in 2014 to explore if the ECE field fits me! Completing the ECE Fast Track Program at Conestoga College & graduating with distinction, I returned to CCCCG in 2015, while supplying at several other leading childcare centres in Guelph. I started regular hours in 2018.

I have been blessed with the opportunity to learn and grow with several age groups at the centre so far, thus opening the door for me to integrate my learning in early childhood education with the wealth of knowledge, skills and experience I have gained interacting with children, families and fellow educators since becoming a school teacher in 1997, serving the field of education in two other countries before Canada.

Children bring me immense joy. At the end of each day, I go home with a heart laden with their priceless gifts for me. I strive my best to bring them joy too, along with love, warmth, and learning.

"It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge." ~ Albert Einstein

LynHello! My name is Carolyn Boily, but at work I go by “Lyn”. I attended the University of Guelph, graduating in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in Child, Youth and Family studies, as well as my ECE. Having watched my mother work in the school system growing up, I discovered very early on that I wanted to work with children as well. I have been working and volunteering in child and family settings ever since high school, including schools, Early Years centres, Girl Guides and various theatre / Renaissance Festival events. I started as a supply staff at CCCCG in 2017, and now spend half my day in our Infant Program, and the other half in our Senior Preschool Room. Bouncing between the two age groups can be very busy, but it has been a great opportunity to experience how children’s learning develops as they grow! I love reading, dramatic play and look forward to helping each child develop resiliency skills and their own, unique, sense of self!
