Preschool 2 Teachers

kristy

My name is Kristy.  I am a graduate from Sheridan College in Early Childhood Education, and I have been working at the centre since 2003.

I spent the first seven years working with the infants and am now approaching my tenth year of working with the Preschool age group.

I am a mother of two wonderful children, Jordan who will be a teenager this year and Ava who will be ten.

I really enjoy baking and cooking, gardening, and spending time out in nature with my husband and children.  I also love hockey and will be a forever Leafs fan.

In Preschool Two, I strive to give the children a variety of enriching experiences based on their interests.  I see enjoyment in their play, and am able to learn from them through their individual personalities and uniqueness.

Mila, RECE

My name is Mila. I have been working at this centre since 2013. I have always been a teacher ever since I started my career, but working with young children began here at this centre.  It has been a joyful and a rewarding experience to work with children alongside with their families.

Each one of them is unique and special in their own way. Creating an environment where children are loved, cared for, respected, heard and feel like they belong is my vision.

As a teacher of young children I also believe building trust in the minds of children should be the number one focus, so that children will reach out to us with confidence, whenever they need the support.

Therefore, I strive to hold on to that belief consistently throughout my practice.

I consider it a great privilege being able to play an important role today in raising honest, healthy, strong leaders for a better tomorrow.

Melissa V., Teaching Assistant (no photo available)

Hello, my name is Melissa and I started working at the center in January 2018 as the Preschool Two Teaching Assistant.
Having the opportunity to work with children over the years has brought immense joy to my life.  I have been blessed to be able to walk hand in hand with children and provide them with opportunities that allow them to learn and grow.

When I am at home, I enjoy gardening, painting, and spending time with my three dogs!
